Jolene & Thomas - wedding day

Jolene & Thomas had the most fabulous, totally fun day.  They were just so happy to marry each other.  And thanks to some lovely touches by Ginny Pruet the day was a beautiful success.  Here's just a peek.....

We can't wait for the next shoot with you guys.... whatever that might be.  Lucy & Christian say they are having a no reason second wedding next year, so hopefully we can party again SOON!

Jamie's Trash the Dress

WOO!  How fun is trashing a dress?  Very, very, very tons of fun.  We don't do them very often, but this was a special occasion.  Jamie wanted to do some cool pictures for her artist husband, John.  It is their 1 year anniversary this December, and she wanted to do something different for him.  We have known J&J for almost 2 years, and we have had the joy of spending lots of time shooting them.  They are radical and up for anything.

So when I told Jamie that we wanted to do something with a ton of cheese ball treats and then throw 3 gallons of paint on her, she said, "where do I sign up?"... because that's just how awesome Jamie is.  Plus she knew she'd get hooked up with some tasty cheese snacks.  BONUS!

We'd like to thank our secret sponsors who made it all possible.

UTZ BARREL of Cheese Balls

And the artists BFF.... Mr. BOB ROSS

I have never laughed so hard at a shoot.  Playing with food is fun!  And throwing food on people is even funner.  And Jamie seemed way in her element.  After we de-cheesed her dress (oh, turns out cheese balls don't actually ruin a dress ladies, so eat up on your wedding day!), we went right into the paint throw.  Obviously, this is a shot you're only going to get one shot at.  And this is what we got.....

Fun fact:  Paint is heavy when you wear it.

Jamie, you simply rock this town.  You're the greatest.  Thank you for a brilliant day.

Natalie & Greg - engagements

Hey everybody!  We hope you have had a great week.  We sure have.  Wednesday was our son Grant's 9th birthday, so we decided to take a couple of days off to spend with him.  We totally surprised him with a stay at the Great Wolf Lodge water park.  It was nice to be parents of the year even if for just two days.  It was so much fun.  If you have kids and haven't been yet or if you are just a big, grown kid who still loves water slides, go check it out.  Plus you'll get showered with hugs all day long.

So now we're due for a blog update for sure!  We'll start with Natalie & Greg who are hands down the superest cool people.  They were totally up for anything and wanted to add some of their own sentimental ideas to the shoot, which are always awesome.  Since they met while working and flying for American Airlines, they wanted to do something in their flight uniforms.  "Heeeck yeh.", we said.  Brendan and I wanted to find something near the airport to add a plane into the shot.  Of course, now that security is crazy around the airport, the first hill that we had found was a no go.  BUT we managed to be just nosey enough to find a secluded spot as close to a runway as we could get without going to prison.

FUN WITH OLD FILM....

Have a great weekend!

Tara + Mark - engagements, bridals, & wedding day

This is going to be a big blog!  We've been hanging out with Tara & Mark for a couple of years now, talking over wedding plans, taking pictures, and mostly just hanging out 'cause they're so rad.  So when their wedding finally got here, it was so exciting for all of us.  It turned out to be an incredible day thanks to the creativity of Tara, Mark, their good friend Douglas (who made all of the place cards and city name plates), and the coordinating skills of Jennifer Ashford at Altar Ego Weddings.

The beautiful flowers were provided by Urban Blossom , Spanish tile inspired cake by Fancy Cakes by Lauren , and the amazing food by Café Malaga!  Soooo delish.  And everything took place at the 1899 Farmhouse in Princeton.

Here are a few of the engagements we took and Tara's bridals too.  Hope you all enjoy this very big blog.

This is Cari & Brandon who are getting married in Austin next June.  They know how to boogie down.

Thank you guys again for an incredible day of fun!  We can't wait to hang again soon.  Cari & Brandon, YOU'RE NEXT!

Britney's Bridals

OK, we know we don't post bridals very often, but it's not because we don't love bridals.  WE DO!  We're just big ol' chickens because we wouldn't want any grooms getting a peek of the dress and spoil the surprise on the wedding day. That would be sucky.

BUT we have permission from Britney herself to post her bridals before the wedding.  Britney's actual dress won't be ready in time for bridals before the wedding, so the awesome folks at CIRCLE PARK BRIDAL were amazing enough to find her another dress to wear for the day.  If you need any fun accessories or gorgeous gowns, go check them out.  And our good friend, Ginny Pruet, provided the beautiful bouquet.  Ginny's site

One of the images from Britney's bridal shoot will be featured in our full page ad in Southern Weddings Magazine in November.  We can't wait for the new issue to come out!  And we can't wait to shoot Britney again when we do engagements with her and Bo in December!

We'll be posting a couple of weddings too where we will feature more bridals.  So check back this weekend!

Happy Friday!
