Rebekah & Chris

Rebekah and Chris are actually getting married next weekend, and they decided at the last minute to do engagements... which we were very happy about.  So they drove in from Graham yesterday, and we headed to Ft. Worth.  

As we were shooting and scouting out some places, I did something really dumb.  I did not see a huge curb coming up and fell flat on my face... actually it was my knee, which I cracked.  Rebekah and Chris and Brendan were nice to me and didn't point and laugh or anything.  Such a duh moment.  (Anyone ever crack a bone?  If you haven't, don't.  It kinda sucks.)  

Anyway, we finished out the shoot, and when we got home my knee was as big as a softball and very black and blue.  This is one of the hazards to being a photographer... paying attention to locations and the direction of the sun instead of watching out for big, huge curbs.  So, I'm sitting a lot and packing it with ice and resting up for our weddings this weekend and, of course, for Rebekah and Chris'.

Note to everyone:  Ft. Worth has big, mean curbs.  Watch out.

Lynette + Scott

We had a great day with Lynette and Scott shooting their engagements.  Even the weather was pretty OK and not so "Texas summer" like.  Lynette grew up on a farm, and so we knew she would appreciate the location we found for their shoot.  And Scott loves Lynette, so we knew he would appreciate us making her happy.  We are really looking forward to their wedding in the fall.  They are SO fun!

SUPER BLOG!!!

Hey everyone!

So sorry to have been gone for a while, but we are back and we have some super blogging to do.  I'm not even sure where we should start.  Sooooooooo many awesome couples to catch up with.  We have not been blogging, but we have still been shooting.  I guess we should start first by saying thank you, thank you so much for all of your kind words and encouragement to us and our grandparents.  You guys are the best!  This has been a much needed time with our family, and mostly to take care of two people who are kind and generous and all around incredible people.  Grandparents are awesome!  And we love ours a lot.

With all this catching up to do, we thought we would just start putting some stuff up, in no particular order.  Just start pulling from the thousands of pictures we have taken over the past month.  We'll start with Cari & Brandon and Reagan & Riley.  Cari & Brandon are getting married next year and having a destination wedding.  Destination = mad fun.  So we did sort of an engagement/family shoot with them and the kiddos.  Brandon even brought out his other baby.... Harley.

 

More blogging later.  We must rest now for Irene & Troy's wedding tomorrow.  It's an all day event with an after par-tay.  Can't wait to see what the day brings!

Tricia & Shining

Hey everybody!  Brendan and I want to thank you so much for sending our family your good thoughts and prayers since our grandparents were both hospitalized a few weeks ago.  We also thank you for understanding while we focus this time on caring for them and getting them well.  We will hopefully get back on the blog train very soon.

So since we've been M.I.A., we wanted to post a little something...  We still have lots to post, so please keep checking back.  

This is a sneak peek of Tricia & Shining's engagements which were an absolute blast for us.  We had a beautiful day of shooting with our new favorite buddy, Murphy (seriously one of the most awesome, adorable dogs EVER!), and then we got to hang out at night doing some fun stuff downtown.  Their wedding is in May, and we totally can't wait.  Murphy is the ring bearer!!!  Seeing him all dressed up is enough to make you want to squeal and then squeeze him real tight.  He's too adorable.  We heart Murphy!
