To our little wedding friends....

We just wanted to say thank you to all the flower girls out there who love what they do.  They have such an important job, and yes, sometimes there's drama, sometimes there's tears, but still they help make weddings the best they can be.

This is our new flower girl friend Camryn.  She was so proud to be the flower girl for Jennifer & Bradley's wedding that she was announcing it to anyone who would listen.  This was one super special flower girl with a one-of-a-kind personality.  Thank you Camryn, and to flower girls everywhere, who take time out of their important day to have some kid fun with the camera.

Amy & Driscoll

Amy & Driscoll are the coolest people with the coolest jobs.  Amy is a costume designer, and Driscoll is a lighting designer for theater and broadway shows all over the country.  They live in New York, but they came to Texas to have their wedding here with their family and friends.  You can imagine with friends who are mostly theater people, there was lots of playing for the camera.  We had a blast with all of them!  Theater people are fun.  (Coming soon as a sample wedding....more to come from Amy & Driscoll's wedding - Check out our site.)

Frantic & Fun Weekend...

A week since our last blog... that sucks.  We are bad, bad bloggers.  We were out of town though for a few days, so hopefully, that excuses us a little.  So, what a frantic and fun week we've had though.  We left for Louisiana, and of course, we (meaning ME since I'm the one who loves to gamble a little too much) had to stop in Shreveport to play the slots.  Of course, Brendan sits down at the first machine he sees... the Wheel of Fortune quarter slots.... and hits $250.  WHAT!!!  We were pumped since we'd only put in $20.  We ended up playing on the casino's money for hours, which let's face it, is waaay much more fun than shelling out your own cash.  We eventually lost it all, but we had a blast doing it.  I stayed a while on the penny slots because it gives you a false sense of hitting the big time.....  WOO!  1150 seems like a jackpot,  even though it's just $11.50.  Nothing like a little fake confidence to get ya back on the big quarter machines.

Then we drove on into Louisiana to get rested up for the wedding the next day.  All in all the weather was pretty good, still too rainy and wet for an outdoor wedding, and the trees looked like they had taken a serious beating from Gustav.  Limbs EVERYWHERE!  But we managed to take the wedding party out to an old bridge for a few shots.  While we were shooting the big people, the kids were in their own world.  Kids are so fun to observe and take pictures of.  These kids were so much fun too!  This is one of my favorite shots of them.

So, right after the wedding was over, we hyped up on caffeine and left over wedding cake and drove all night back to Dallas for a wedding the next morning.  Even though it was a quick trip, anytime Brendan and I get to hang out in another city it's a blast.  And there's nothin' like trav'lin to new places with your best friend.

From Babies, to Bridals, to Boudoir...

We had the funnest weekend.  No, "funnest" is not a real word according to the dictionary.  But that's what it was... the funnest.  Shooting weddings is an absolute blast, but so are all the shoots in between.  And we had the best time with the most awesome people.

Baby Catie is an awesome little person.  We did the maternity pictures for Christina & Michael, so now it was Catie's time to shine.  And shine she did.  I'm not sure how you can get so much personality into one tiny little package, but Catie wore us all out.  Most baby shoots last about an hour at the MOST!  Nope, not Catie.  Girlfriend rocked & rolled for almost three hours with tons of fabulous outfits and tons of expressions.  Look at the little face!  I just wanna squeeze it!

Then there was Lauren's bridals.  Lauren is getting married THIS WEEKEND!  She & Ben are so ready!  Ben has been living in Colorado, so Lauren is ready to get outta here.  They are an amazing couple, and it's going to be an amazing wedding.

Then last but not least... the boudoirs....

So, now we are looking forward to this weekend.  We are leaving tomorrow to shoot a wedding in Louisiana!  Yep, while others are going out, we are goin' in.  Brooke & Josh are such a great couple.  They have teamed together and in the past few days during the hurricane, they totally came up with an awesome plan B for their wedding day.  Instead of canceling, they just got creative and changed their outdoor wedding to indoor celebration.  Their wedding is going to be amazing.... rain or shine.

Have a wonderful, fun-filled, creative week everyone!  More blogging when we return....

Facebook fun with Chloe

When our dearest friend Chloe needed a new picture for Facebook, we loaded up the gear, jumped in the car, and rushed right over.  Unfortunately, in all the excitement, the camera batteries were left behind.  So, we loaded back up the gear, jumped back in the car, and rushed right home...  after Chloe and Lane fed us some homemade pizza that is.

So, since we were losing light and all, we decided to do a photo shoot in the  comfort of our own home.  And this is just a sample of what happened....

So, some well known facts about Chloe and her husband Lane....  They are completely awesome.  They are the cutest, silliest, most giving couple ever.  They are extremely fun and photogenic.  And when it comes to taking pictures, they go for it.  We have been shooting Chloe and Lane for over a year now, and they have become like family to us and our son Grant.  So, anytime we get to take pictures for them, we jump at the chance.  It's hang out time plus photo fun.  We heart Chloe & Lane!
